We are looking for a mobile app developer (iOS) to join the CX Factory team in the mobility department. CX Factory is a product-centric team mainly responsible for developing and delivering Mercedes me Finance, a self-service app globally. Mercedes me Finance is a product focused on providing an effortless experience to financing and leasing customers in Europe, North America, and Africa & Asia-Pacific region.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the high quality of our digital products. Your main focus will be on enforcing quality gates for our releases, managing test cases, and assisting with testing new features. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support our teams in automated testing efforts on both Android and iOS platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment within a world-renowned company.

Responsibilities:

• Enforce quality gates for software releases
• Manage and organize test cases
• Assist in the manual testing of new features
• Collaborate with the development teams to identify and resolve issues
• Support the development and maintenance of automated tests for Android and iOS applications
• Document testing processes and results
• Contribute to improving our quality assurance processes

• Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline)
• Strong interest in software quality assurance and testing methodologies
• Basic understanding of manual testing principles and practices
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Fluency in English (German would be a plus, especially for communication within the team)
• Willingness to learn about automated testing for mobile applications (Android and iOS)
• Basic understanding of the concepts behind automated testing

Desired Skills and Qualifications (would be beneficial, but not mandatory):

• Previous experience with manual testing of mobile applications (iOS and/or Android)
• Basic understanding of mobile app development processes
• Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Jira with testing plugins)
• Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Some experience with or exposure to programming or scripting languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, Python) would be advantageous for assisting with automated testing
