Role – Project Coordination Engineer – Product Development
Key Responsibilities:
• Track monthly KPIs and digital maturity status using agreed templates and reporting formats.
• Analyze weekly RFG reports and highlight potential risks, deviations, and improvement areas.
• Represent the department in Gremiums, technical meetings, and cross-functional project discussions.
• Ensure part readiness for respective builds in line with project milestones and delivery timelines.
• Track change notices and change requests, and follow up with affected stakeholders such as BTV and MGS.
• Network with key stakeholders across logistics, product planning, suppliers, development teams, simulation teams, and other functions.
• Ensure proper documentation, tracking, and governance of project-related processes.
• Support stakeholder management by creating suitable and effective processes based on project requirements.
• Communicate project progress, risks, escalations, and key updates effectively to the project coordinator.
• Conduct project Reko meetings and facilitate decision-making on engineering changes based on priority and severity.
• Communicate project progress and key updates to top-level management as required.
• Support the project coordinator for product tag-related activities.
• Coordinate with development teams, simulation teams, and other functions to ensure smooth project execution.
• Obtain countermeasures from respective stakeholders against mishaps, deviations, or project risks.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide valuable inputs to support successful project delivery.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Good understanding of automotive product development and project coordination processes.
• Experience in tracking project milestones, KPIs, risks, change notices, and project deliverables.
• Knowledge of engineering change management and decision-making processes.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams such as development, simulation, logistics, product planning, suppliers, BTV, and MGS.
• Strong documentation, reporting, and process tracking skills.
• Good stakeholder management and follow-up capability.
• Ability to identify risks, deviations, and countermeasures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present project progress, risks, and escalations clearly.
• Good analytical and coordination skills to support smooth project execution.
• Ability to work in a structured manner across multiple project interfaces and priorities.
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, B.E. / B.Tech.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):
• Experience in automotive product development, project management, or engineering coordination.
• Exposure to vehicle development milestones, build readiness, and engineering change processes.
• Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz systems, processes, and project governance forums would be an advantage.
• Experience working with global stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Ability to support management reporting, project reviews, and decision-making forums.
