Student for Bachelor- or Masterthesis EMC Simulation for HV-Batteries
Aufgaben

As RD/EBE (Electrical/Electronics System & Hardware), we deliver technologically leading EE systems to Mercedes-Benz vehicles on time, with premium series quality. Our RD/EBE department is responsible for the development of electrical/electronic components and the system design of Mercedes-Benz HV batteries.

 

This challenges will face you:

  • Collaboration in the field of high-voltage battery development (EE System & Hardware) with a focus on EMC/EMI (electromagnetic compatibility/interference

  • Development of project-specific and development-accompanying EMC tests

  • Proficiency in using instrumentation to perform laboratory measurements

  • Understanding of electronic circuit design

  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug electronic circuits

  • Documentation and presentation of the work steps and results

  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team

The final thesis selection is made in close consultation with you, the university and us.

 

The activity can begin in February 2026.

Qualifikationen
  • Degree in the field of electrical / communications / high-frequency engineering or a comparable qualification

  • Advanced knowledge in EMC-compliant design as well as solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles

  • Strong understanding of transmission line theory, antenna design principles, and microelectronic circuit design techniques

  • Simulation experience with simulation tools such as LTSpice or comparable programs

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with the development of solutions and their effective implementation
