Job Overview:
Oversee, mentor, and coach a team of 1–5 direct reports, including conducting annual performance reviews and supporting the preparation of credit requests in accordance with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services’ (MBFS) credit criteria.
Serve as an active member of the Local Credit Committee, responsible for reviewing, approving, and making decisions on annual reviews, new credit requests, internal memos (MEMOs), and addendums.
Maintain continuous communication with Dealer Relationship Managers (DRMs), Regional Managers (RMs), and National Accounts Manager to collaboratively structure deals that support business retention while minimizing MBFS’ credit exposure.
Monitor inventory and financial audit results, aged inventory, duplicate financing, overline conditions, and related risk indicators across dealer accounts to proactively manage and mitigate financial risk for MBFS.
Support the Regional Dealer Credit Manager with daily and monthly activities, including:
Reviewing Wholesale/Retail, Cap Loan, and Terms & Conditions documentation. Participating in Dealer SAC and Portfolio Performance Review meetings. Maintaining the New Acquisition Forecast and Acquisitions/Losses reports. Completing various internal compliance audits.
Responsibilities:

Train and develop Dealer Credit Analysts, overseeing their review and preparation of credit requests by analyzing financial statements, creditworthiness, and establishing appropriate collateral positions. Present, or assist in presenting, finalized credit packages to various levels of approval authorities to support sound credit decisions. (35%)

Prepare formal submission of annual credit file(s) reviews with recommendations for management. Complexity of files prepared will depend upon experience level. Present final product to varying approval authorities. (15%)

Provide leadership and foster employee development by conducting regular coaching sessions, offering side-by-side assistance, and delivering on-the-job training. Manage performance appraisals, monitor productivity, drive goal achievement, and participate in talent selection to build a high-performing team aligned with organizational objectives. (20%)

Create, review, and present various departmental analysis reports, including dealer progress updates and status tracking. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting that supports strategic decision-making. Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel on the preparation, review, and execution of legal documents related to MBFS' security interest, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policy standards. (15%)

Manage dealer problem and watch-listed accounts by closely monitoring financial performance and identifying early signs of distress. Negotiate workout plans, forbearance agreements, and other tailored solutions to mitigate risk and prevent wholesale losses. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective recovery strategies. Prepare and maintain detailed reports and accurate accounting reconciliations to ensure transparent tracking of account status and financial outcomes. (10%)
- Provide daily servicing support to assigned dealer group(s), including tasks such as Assignment of Proceeds and approval of overlines, ensuring efficient and accurate processing in line with company policies. (5%)
Qualifications:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:
- Accounting: 2 years
- Business-General: 2 years
- Credit: 3 years
- Finance: 1 year
Education:
High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Additional Knowledge:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a consumer or commercial lending environment with a focus on financial analysis.
