Job Overview
Protect corporate assets through direction of corporate risk management activities in the areas of risk transfer and loss prevention. Mitigate and manage risks, costs and processes associated with MBUSA retail buybacks.
Responsibilities
• Fully understand comprehensive processes for Buybacks and Trade Assists, including roles and responsibilities of concerned parties (Customer Retention, Operational Risk, Legal, Customer Services, Field Organization, Accounting, Vendor ISG/Stericycle, LKQ etc.).
• Ensure up-to-date documentation and adherence to processes utilizing Siebel, ISG Portal, Netstar (VMI, Remote Diagnostics, Paragon), PTSS-HO, TIM’s, Star Teck Info, smart Tek Info, CV Tek Info, Aftersales Portal (WIS, Xentry TIP’s, EPC)
• Allocate funds from repurchases to appropriate area and provide clear instructions to finance on whether it’s a MBUSA credit or debit
• Consolidate and manage fleet of Buyback vehicles used for testing purposes, including full documentation of testing purpose, estimated time frame for testing, location, and cycle time of when vehicle is returned. Ensure testing vehicles that are not returned should be removed from BB inventory and appropriately updated.
• Coordinate movement of vehicles with vendor (Stericycle) and LKQ (crush)
• Manage status with Vehicle Logistics
• Processing check-in/check-out of vehicles
• Dispatching repairs
• FTS coordination as needed
• Assigning/tracking extended test drives
• Handling warranty claim processes
• Coordinating and checking final paperwork
• Support Legal on PPI cases
• Spot trends before they become BB issues
• Assist and perform special projects and task as required by the Customer Retention Supervisor
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) with emphasis in:
o Accounting
o Business Management
o Finance
o Technical Management-Logistics
o Management Information System (MIS)
o Transportation Management
• Must have 2-4 years (total) of experience in the following:
o Accounting : General Knowledge of internal controls, recording and reporting of financial transactions, including the origination of the transaction, its recognition, processing, and summarization in the financial statements.
o Administration: General Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.
o Business Management: Comprehensive Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.
o Finance: Comprehensive Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.
o Processing: General Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
o Quality Assurance: General Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability.
o Risk Management: Comprehensive Knowledge of fundamental business practices, concepts and techniques to protect and preserve assets and/or minimize/control loss, such as avoidance, loss prevention and reduction, retention, grouping of exposure units, and transfer. Should include knowledge of fidelity, surety, liability, property, and group related policies and coverages.
o Vendor Management: Proficient Knowledge of Agency/Vendor management and budget management.
