Qualification:
B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E - Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial, Production, Electrical &/ Electronics Engineering.
Specific knowledge:
· Experience in Wiring Harness, NX, Smaragd, CAD, Schematics, Brackets design, 3D routing, Wiring Harness Simulation, DMU, BTV, PDM, BoM, Dialog, Smaragd, Chassis, Cockpit, Doors, etc.
· Experience in BTV, DMU, Design, roles etc.
· Experienced in at least one of the industry wide Schematic design tools (Preferred E3 tool), 3D CAD Design packages with wire harness design routing add-ons (Unigraphics NX, CATIA, etc.)
· Proficiency in Electrical Low & High voltage System design, NX – Electrical Workbenches, Part and Assembly Design
· Should be expert in low and high voltage electrical design calculation (Fundamentals of electrical and electronics principle should be strong).
· Should have deep understanding how to select connector type, wire/cable, Fixation design & clips.
· Electrification of connectors.
· Should have knowledge of wire harness Nail board, Crimping process, all quality relevant tests of wire harness.
· Good grip on Automotive Electrical design standards (All Electrical design standards “DIN, IEC standards”).
· Should be proactive to provide field relevant issue in short time.
· Experience within the automotive industry or similar domain experience (Low or high voltage).
· Good Understanding of automotive electrical packaging concept and Electrical/mechanical interfaces
· EV “Automotive” market trend knowledge.
· Brackets design, BTV expertise
· Work experience in E3, Electrical component database management, PDM & PLM tools.
- Expert in MS Office Suite
- Good Communication skills – German language proficiency would be an added advantage.
Project Responsibilities:
· Create 3D Designs for low Voltage/High Voltage Wiring Harnesses, Power and ground distribution considering weight, safety, space, Cost, DFM, Assembly, quality and EMC requirements.
· Detecting/Determining of suitable wiring materials, shielding, protections based on surrounding parts/geometry.
· Develop effective routing paths of 3D Model with the help of retainers, channels, grommets, etc.
· Design brackets, trays, enclosures, grommets, and other components to support wiring harness design and electrical modules packaging.
· Design innovative and robust solutions that meet Mercedes Benz Standards
· Collaborations with other functions groups and reporting information, concern, and milestones achievements from the department to the project and vice versa.
· Support all phases of vehicle build from Concept to Production
· Support the design review with customers, manufacturing, supplier, and engineering areas.
· Participations and collaboration with wider engineering team
· Knowledge of 2D drawing will be added advantage.

Domain/ assembly line planning; must be demonstrated by project deliveries.
