As part of the Operations Engineering department in the VAN (VAN/OE) business unit, you will be the creative link between development, supplier, quality and production centers. Our international team is responsible for successful plant ramp up. Process- and industrial planning, including design, commissioning and ramp up is our core business.
Parallel to the technical implementation of the equipment and processes we together will establish a new local bodyshop planning team for VAN.O.
Your focus as Expatriate in Jawor:
- Support and train the new local team with your expertise to plan and execute the project
- Ensure and maintain a good global network to the Bodyshop experts at Mercedes-Benz. This stabile network ensure a fast solution for upcoming challenges and a fast lessons learned from other plants in the Mercedes-Benz family.
- Steer and review the supplier activities of our supplier according to ECM and Timeline in close communication with our local team, Maintenance -, Production and Quality Teams
- ensure transparent communication about project situation and upcoming milestones.
- establish all relevant processes as a planning department for new product projects and series tasks
- stay flexible whatever is coming and be always with a positive open mindset.
- Take self driven responsibility and ownership and maintain strong teamwork
Ideally, you should have:
- Experience in planning of a bodyshop processes,
- experience with the ramp up of a Bodyshop
- experience with the integration of variants in a running system
- ramp up the systems until final buy off
- a good network in the Mercedes Bodyshop planning family
- knowledge about Integra and ECM
- execute interdisciplinary workshops with various departments e.g. Quality management, Logistic, Maintenance, Production
We are looking for you if you have the following qualifications:
University Degree in mechanical engineering, production technology or similar education
Several years of professional experience specifically in Bodyshop production planning
Proven experience in project management
Ability to think and act analytically and strategically, with a focus on achieving results and meeting targets
Ability to work as part of a team and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration in addition to excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to think and act like an entrepreneur as well as openness to change processez.
Languages: fluent English and German and as a wish polish
