Software Engineer – Connected Car PlatformAbout the Role

Join the Connected Car Platform team at MBRDI and contribute to building cloud-native services that power Connected Car functions for millions of Mercedes-Benz customers worldwide. You will work in a global, cross-functional environment to design, develop, deploy, and operate scalable, resilient, and secure software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices.
  • Own the end-to-end software lifecycle from development to production operations.
  • Build scalable and reliable solutions using modern cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders, architects, and product teams.
  • Drive technical excellence through code reviews, automation, testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to operational excellence.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and technology adoption initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related disciplines.
  • 3–6 years of experience in software development and cloud-native application engineering.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Kotlin, or GoLang.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
Technical Skills

Cloud & Platform: Azure, AKS, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, ACR, PostgreSQL, Redis, Event Hub, API Management.

Container & DevOps: Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Infrastructure Automation, Monitoring & Observability.

Development: Java, Kotlin, GoLang, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Connected Vehicle, IoT, Automotive, or Mobility domains.
  • Exposure to SRE practices and cloud security.
  • Experience building highly available and globally distributed systems.
