Logistics Module Planner Coordinator and Processes/Methods

We are responsible for the planning and implementation of all logistic related processes and equipment’s for new car models in our production network. Our job is to prepare the plant for series production and to constantly improve our KPI’s within the BBAC Logistics planning & projects department.



You are responsible as logistics module planner, commodity coordinator and sub-work package “process and methods” for following tasks:

-Represent “voice of logistics” in the supplier parts awarding process with relevant business partners such as purchasing, R&D, intra planning, inbound planning, etc.

-Managing and coordinating the setup of Process and Methods for Module Planning

-Leading the rollout with in the logistics department and involved stakeholders 

-Developing new methods, automated workflows and digital KPI-Boards

-Ensure cross-project knowledge transfer, best practices and lessons learned at BBAC and between other Mercedes-Benz locations

-Leading of meetings/committees independently with regular status reporting to management

-Coordination, consolidation and tracking function of all commodity activates along the module planning process steps 

- Review, analyze and improve logistics processes through the entire supply chain from the parts supplier to the final point of usage in the production lines cross commodities

- Create transparency of our internal logistic processes and benchmark these processes with other carlines and within our worldwide production network

- Representative of logistics in specialist committees and in intensive cooperation work by engaging all involved business partners

-Create standardized logistics input requirements (LOG KLH) such as inbound delivery concepts, process requirements, load carrier and packaging concepts as input for supplier parts RFQ’s

-Regular participation in technical supplier meetings to explain and ensure our logistics requirements considered and understood

-Establish cost transparency by reviewing supplier cost breakdowns and benchmarking against logistic reference calculations (LOG REC)

-Analyses deviations between target and actual values and identify countermeasures

-Create and provide a holistic logistics supplier evaluation as essential input factor for overall sourcing decisions


-Bachelor in Industrial Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Automobile Engineering or similar education. Overseas studying experience or master degree is preferred

 -Work experience of minimum 7 years in Automotive Industry in the field of operational logistics, logistics process planning, inbound optimization or similar occupation preferred

 -Experience from past occupation for leading work packages with a pro-active approach 

-Ability and knowhow of setting up processes, standards and methods

 -Rich knowledge of holistic logistics planning and supply chain processes End2End, product development, production and procurement processes

-Active personality, hardworking and willingness to learn

 -Good at logic thinking, teamwork and easy adjust to an international and multi-cultural environment

 -Enhanced coordination skills in dynamic environment and several stakeholders  

 -Ability to be fluent in Chinese and English speaking, reading, writing and listening. German optional preferred

 -Good skills in MS Office and presentations, especially in Word/Excel/PPT
