We are seeking an innovative, technology-driven, and benchmark-oriented architecture leader to own the end-to-end architecture and design of future OTA (Over-The-Air) generations and technologies at Mercedes-Benz. In this role, you will define the long-term OTA technology vision and roadmap, act as the highest technical authority for both future architecture and current-generation problem solving, and drive close collaboration with the new EEA teams and overall vehicle architecture teams to seamlessly integrate OTA into future E/E and software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures.
Key Responsibilities1. Future OTA Architecture & Design (End-to-End)- Own the end-to-end architecture and long-term technology roadmap for future OTA generations across all Mercedes-Benz vehicle platforms.
- Design future OTA concepts supporting next-generation platforms and MB.OS evolution, ensuring scalability, robustness, security, and future-readiness.
Lead OTA architecture reviews and drive key technical decision-making as the primary architecture authority.
2. Current Generation & Project Technical Problem Solving
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for complex technical issues in the current OTA generation and ongoing vehicle projects.
- Lead cross-domain root-cause analysis and drive resolution of critical/hot issues, including reproduction and validation.
- Ensure architectural learnings from current issues feed back into future designs.
3. EEA & Cross-Domain Architecture Collaboration
- Drive OTA integration concepts with the new EEA teams and overall vehicle architecture teams, defining architecture boundaries, interfaces, and cross-domain dependencies.
- Align with MB.OS platform, cybersecurity, backend, connectivity, and diagnostics domains to ensure consistent, scalable OTA architecture across vehicle generations.
- Provide architectural guidance to OTA Function Owners, Software Architects, System Specification Engineers, and Technical Managers.
4. Innovation, Benchmarking & Technology Governance
- Continuously benchmark competitor OTA and SDV solutions and monitor emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and feasibility studies for next-generation OTA orchestration, software packaging, and update mechanisms.
- Develop innovation proposals and technical recommendations for management; contribute to architecture governance, design methodologies, and technical standards.
- Represent OTA architecture and technical topics in global technical committees, architecture review boards, and strategic discussions with HQ and external partners.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering, automotive engineering, or other related majors; Master's degree preferred.
