We are looking for Specialists and Team Members to join us in crafting a wide variety of vehicles from the Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV to our all-electric electric vehicle, the EQS SUV and EQE SUV. Our Tuscaloosa County site is home to the production of Mercedes’ luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles. Just down the road in Bibb County, MBUSI has launched the production of high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Our two campuses are among the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with over 6 million square feet combined.

 Essential Functions: 

• A1 Torque Analysis FTC improvement/problem solving
• Low cost vision system error proofing 

Other Regular Daily Tasks:

• MY and SOP production trial support
• Torque Analysis Data integration to SFMDigital
• Backfill for an Assembly 1 Process Engineer as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for position.

 

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in  Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or in a related area, and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

  Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:  

• Proficient with Microsoft Office & advanced knowledge of Excel 
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Comfortable presenting to Management/Senior Management
• Project Management Skills

Desired:

• Torque Analysis, Dialogue proficient
• MTM (Methods-Time Measurement)
• Error Proofing / Poka Yoke
• Continuous Improvement
• CAD/3D printing

Preferred Start Date: 

• August 2025

• Paid internship - hourly rate $18

• $700 housing bonus

 

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master’s degree
• Studies outside of the U.S.A  (we are not accepting applications from students who are currently studying in the U.S.A)
• A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
• Available for a minimum of 6 months
