THE OPPORTUNITY

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Sales & Reporting Specialist to join our highly skilled Insurance team. This role takes Insurance to a whole new level, encouraging you to exceed business needs and work in a collaborative team who are just as passionate as you to provide exceptional experiences.

 

JOB OVERVIEW

The Insurance Sales & Reporting Specialist is responsible for coordinating insurance sales performance, finance and management reporting, dealer and OneCu support, operational issue resolution, and continuous improvement across Mercedes-Benz Insurance. The role steers and monitors the outsourced sales operation but does not replace their responsibilities for recruitment, line management, disciplinary action, attendance management or day-to-day agent supervision. The position supports the Insurance Manager with accurate information, timely escalation, implementation tracking and operational follow-through within the MBFS Insurance Department and collaborating with the OneCu.

 

KEY TASKS:

 

Sales Performance Steering and Call Centre Supplier Oversight:

  • Monitor outsourced sales performance against lead turnaround, quotation, conversion, sales, service and customer feedback standards.

  • Drive lead management, pipeline follow-up and OneCu feedback throughout the sales process.

  • Coordinate operational priorities with the Call Centre, including campaigns, capacity planning and month-end focus.

  • Monitor service levels, quality, script adherence and retention performance; escalate risks, performance concerns and corrective actions to the Insurance Manager.

  • Oversee policy renewals, retention initiatives and binder operations, ensuring compliance with insurer requirements, service levels and delegated mandates.

 

Management Information and Month-End Reporting:

  • Act as business owner for the Lead Management System (LMS), driving issue resolution, uptime and continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate and consolidate monthly sales, portfolio, MIS and management reporting for Finance, Controlling, OneCu and insurers.

  • Validate source data, commissions, supplier invoices and portfolio submissions; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

  • Prepare performance reporting on referrals, quotations, conversions, penetration, dealers and campaigns.

  • Support portfolio reconciliations, commission calculations and reporting controls, maintaining audit-ready records.

  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, improve processes, monitor profitability and recommend performance enhancement initiatives.

  • Manage insurer commission validations, MBSA warranty reporting and direct sales agent compensation.

 

Dealer Network and OneCu Support:

  • Provide operational support to dealers and F&I managers through OneCu.

  • Manage dealer queries, insurance lead updates and performance reporting.

  • Act as the liaison between the Call Centre, OneCu, dealers and insurers to resolve operational issues and track actions.

  • Serve as key user for insurance systems, managing incidents, testing, process improvements and business sign-off activities.

 

Customer, Policy and Complaint Escalation Support:

  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of escalated customer, policy, claims, premium and service-related queries.

  • Gather supporting evidence, liaise with stakeholders and provide status updates.

  • Track corrective actions and identify recurring root causes, risks and control gaps.

 

Projects and Governance Support:

  • Support and coordinate insurance campaigns, product initiatives, strategic projects and process improvements.

  • Manage stakeholder engagement, implementation activities, reporting, action tracking and issue resolution.

  • Lead insurance-related projects, including MB Rent, Head Office and Extended Warranty initiatives, ensuring delivery against business, operational and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain current insurance, reporting, systems and regulatory knowledge and share learnings across the team.

Qualifikationen

  • Reconciliations, performance reporting and operational deadlines.

  • Ability to act as insurance Representative or as Representative under Supervision

 

Specific Knowledge:

  • Motor Comprehensive Insurance knowledge

  • Call center performance management

  • Motor comprehensive insurance and policy lifecycle processes.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and management information reporting.

  • Working knowledge of FAIS conduct requirements, approved scripts, record keeping and escalation controls relevant to the role.

  • Familiarity with lead management, quotation, telephony and incident-tracking processes.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in insurance, sales operations, reporting or related environment.

  • Experience working with complex large volumes of data to disseminate trends, anomalies and make recommendations to management.

  • RE5/COB/FAIS

  • Project Management or business analysis experience advantageous
