Objective of job

Provide effective international delivery and customs solutions for vehicles and parts for RD China, improve transport and cost efficiency, safeguard company’s compliance of world trade policies and regulations, implement export control guideline.

Task description

1. Import and export operation management

• Provide professional logistics solutions to internal customers;
• Coordinate with Germany shipping centers, oversea and domestic transport suppliers and brokers, to arrange transportation incl. airfreight, railway and seaway based on business needs;
• HS Classification for all import/export shipments, review brokers’ input;
• System maintenance and documentation based on audit requirements;
• Deal with Customs audit/inspections and risk control during daily work;
• Apply digital tools and billing check, perform timely duty/tax payments

2. Export Control Implementation

• Follow Export Control guideline and processes to strictly execute export control measures
• Coordinate with HQ Export Control Office, Regional Export Control Hub, to support ECO and ECO deputy to fulfil the responsibilities
• Develop most effective control tools and measures to ensure compliance and work efficiency

3. Continuous improvement:

• Continuously optimize import and export process and related system performance
• Drive for business excellence, deep understanding of policies and customer’s need, provide effective and most cost-efficient solutions
• Domestic/ international transportation benchmark study and make improvement

4. Other topics

• User trainings
• Internal and external audit
• Cost analysis and reporting, budget planning
• Supplier KPI and performance management

• Other ad-hoc topics within team

   

Qualifications:

• University degree in Logistics Engineering, Business Administration, or similar subjects;
• At least 2 years working experience in logistics or world trade areas in international environment with automotive background;
• Good understanding of customs and international transportation related policy and business.
• Profound understanding of prototype logistics and genereal supply chain process;
• Good communication skill with logical mind;
• Strong sense of responsibility, motivated by working on continuous improving and always willing to go extra miles;
• Strong sense of compliance and risk management, good at process development and project management skills
• English and Chinese speaking; German is plus.
