China as our most important and greatest market and is pushing massively towards electric mobility. Standards and regulations for a New Energy Vehicles change rapidly.  
Within this fast growing and developing business of Mercedes-Benz in China, RDEB department is continuously developing. While series production for PHEVs and BEVs will soon be running under full steam, new electric products need to be implemented.
The position of HV Battery Safety at Mercedes-Benz RD China is looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and versatile engineer in Battery EE team, who will lead advanced projects and develop products that meet targets and comply with market regulations. 

Key responsibilities include:
•    Function ower of High Voltage Batter Safety  , which includes HVB safety specification, hardware and software design,validation and issue analysis. 
•    Components local development or Life cycle management and support, including HV harness/connectors, Fuses, Contactors, pre-charge related parts, Isolation measurement related parts, other HV components etc. 
•    Support on system level validation HVS, EMC, LVPN, HVPN etc..
•    Other RD and cross-function tasks assigned by team lead.

HV Battery Safety performance management, E/E system validation and release.
HV Battery safety issue pre-anlysis and troubleshooting.
Co-work with Headquater high voltage battery team to build up China process and structure.Cooperation with headquarter’s high voltage battery team for issue troubleshooting and information exchange.
Get familiar with all eDrive high-voltage system related topics.
HV Components local development or Life cycle management and support

Work together with cross-functional departments like product planning, quality and logistics, setup project milestones as well as coordinate activities to pursue tight time schedules.

Education 
•    Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering 
Experience 
•    At least 2 years HV battery safety development and test experience. Experience in automobile industry is preferred.
o Specific Knowledge    
•    Solid fundamental knowledge of high voltage battery as well as strong practice ability.
•    Basic knowhow in HV battery safety development and expericed in HV battery safety validation test.
•    Familiar with vehicle high voltage system, compoment (e.g. battery, charging ).
•    Familiar with oscilloscope, VNA trouble shooting is necessary.
•    Experienced in diagnostic tools (e.g. CANoe, DTS-Monaco) is necessary. 
•    Project management skill (i.e.planning and organizational skill) is needed.
•    Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, speak German is preferred.
•    Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels.
•    Willingness to travel inside China and foreign countries .
•    Driving license.
