MBRDI, RD/ICZ department is looking for partners to accelerate the development of next gen Digital Testing Platform(Helix) for Automated Driving Systems

 

Digital Testing Platform(DTP) development includes development of Scalable Platform development used in the Development and V&V activities of autonomous driving systems. This includes Simulation SIL workflows, HiL workflows, Recompute workflows.

 

By leveraging DTP, autonomous driving Developers and Testers can efficiently evaluate and refine their software components in a controlled and repeatable environment, ultimately contributing to the development of safer and more robust autonomous systems. It provides digital platform to users, which is scalable and which can aid real-world testing, to ensure a comprehensive and thorough validation process.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design overall architecture of the analytics applications for applications
• Work collaboratively with local and remote teams to deploy and operate the solutions
• Provide Technology leadership to the team around architecture and implementation
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the local, remote and business teams to design and launch new features.
• Maintain code integrity and organization.
• Help evaluate and establish appropriate technology stack
• Help automate and streamline the operations and processes.
• Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

 

Must Have:

Backend: 
Web framework knowledge with RESTful Api concepts like FASTApi(flask/Django)
Sofware Design and Architecture : Microservices, Monolithic application, and some SOA
Relational Database and ORM(Object Relational Mapping) like SQLAlchemy.                                                               Authentication & Security  - Oauth2, JWT-based authentication, Role-based access control (RBAC) & multi-tenancy, Web security  (CORS, CSRF, SQL Injection protection) and DNS concepts 
Perfomance and scalability : Search engines like elastic search, Background tasks (Celery with Redis, FastAPI BackgroundTasks), Caching strategies (Redis, Memcached), API rate limiting & load balancing (NGINX, Traefik)
Testing knowledge : Integeration, Unit and funtional testings
 
Front End:
 Primary framework like React.js/ Vue.js / Angular
•    Material UI
•    TypeScript – must-have for all frontend development
•    Microfrontend Architecture – experience with modular app structures
o    Webpack Module Federation – for microfrontend architecture
o    Shell concepts & portal architectures – Helix Portal holds sub apps, e.g. DT, DSM
•    HTML5 & CSS3 / SCSS – strong markup and styling knowledge
•    REST APIs– for backend integration
•    Foundations in User Experience (UX) – ideally studied or with practical experience
•    Performance optimization & lazy loading – important in multi-app environments
•    Figma – for prototyping, design handoff, and collaboration

Sound knowledge on DevOps
Version control system - Git, Gitlab  and CI/CD workflows
Containerisation - Docker

 

System architecture

• Define which platform components to use for each use case and how
• Integration of data sources and systems

-           IT Operations (Maintenance, Support, others)

-           Testing & Automation (e.g. CI/CD, API, others)

Nice to Have:

-       -           Affinity for advanced analytics, statistics, mathematics. Understanding of R and Python code. Knowhow about Cloudera stack and analytics workbenches (e.g. Dataiku) are an advantage.

 

Others:

-           Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar qualification and relevant work experience

-           Good English language skills (German language skills are an advantage, but not necessary)

-           Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
