Job Overview:
Treasury USA & Canada manages all Treasury activities in the USA via MBNAC and in Canada via Mercedes-Benz Finance Canada Inc. (MBFCI). Treasury accesses the capital markets including commercial paper, ABS, EMTN and private placement in both the USA and Canadian markets. Treasury maintains in each country an in-house bank cash pool and manages risk through foreign exchange and interest rate risk management products. As part of its Liquidity Management tasks Treasury drafts a daily Liquidity Status Report and a monthly Funding Plan. In addition, Treasury performs Corporate Finance tasks such as monitoring subsidiary capital structure, M&A projects, trade finance, and corporate guarantees.
Must be able to work flexible hours/work schedule and work holidays when required and/or scheduled. Domestic and International travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the daily execution of excess cash in money market and investment products aimed at maximizing interest income and preserving principal. Determine best funding/investment strategy for execution to ensure that the short-term liquidity forecast is funded accurately on a daily basis. (30%)
- Manage the USD and CAD commercial paper programs for MBNAC and MBFCI. Analyze, review trends and discuss market conditions with broker/dealers to create and distribute commercial paper rates for market investors (15%)
- Supports team on Treasury Projects such as interest rate result steering/analysis and responsible for related presentations and bank preparations (15%)
- Responsibility for operational excellence (Processes and Policies e.g. ICFR, ARIS) and regulatory topics (Dodd Frank, EMIR, Canadian Regulation) in coordination with MBNAC operations team; supports ISDA-negotiations and archives ISDA-contracts for MBNAC and MBFCI. (10%)
- Back-up support for Mexico legal entities (trade execution) (10%)
- Execute foreign exchange contracts, interest rate swaps, FX hedge contracts and business loans for the company and the company’s business units (10%)
- Actively manage the group bank relationship and responsible for the financial transaction data in the bank wallet used for the global liquidity review. (5%)
- In compliance with financial regulations and internal audit controls, analyze market research to re-design and implement changes to the investment strategy. (5%)
Qualifications:

This position will be located in our Atlanta, Georgia location by August 31, 2026. Interested candidates outside of the Atlanta market should be aware of and prepared for this future move as a condition of continued employment.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, treasury operations, financial markets or risk management.
Proficiency with interest rate risk management, Capital markets instruments (FX/derivates/bonds), financial regulations (Dodd-Frank, EMIR) and interfacing with financial institutions. Experience in a financial institution, corporate treasury or regulatory environment is highly preferred.
Fluent in English
Experience with financial platforms such as Global Treasury Systems (GTS), FX applications (360T), Bloomberg, online banking software, SAP, etc.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree preferred. Recommended majors include:

Should include knowledge of fidelity, surety, liability, property, and group related policies and coverages
Knowledge of government/market regulation as it applies to the business capability of the company including, but not limited to, Dodd Frank, 2a7 Money Market Reform, EMIR, and the Canadian Securities Act (CSA). Must maintain a working knowledge of regulation changes, and be capable of communicating the challenges and business implications of such changes
