Objective of Job:
- In charge of dynamic running board component and system development for vehicle exterior.
- Develop dynamic running board and relevant functions with suppliers, including mechanical structure, electric control, anti-pinch function and durability performance.
- Verify running board concept and performance via vehicle and bench validation in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Optimize running board solution to meet customer demands and improve product competitiveness in terms of cost, function and user experience.
- Coordinate and complete industrialization implementation of dynamic running board for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars.
- Support engineering change management, plant production issue solving and after-sales problem closure for exterior running board parts.
Education:
University degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or related directions
Experience
- Minimum 3 years working experience in vehicle exterior mechanical/electrical components development; dynamic running board development experience is highly preferred.
Specific Knowledge
Solid CAD knowledge (Siemens NX preferable, at least very good knowledge of Catia/Pro E and willing to learn new CAD system)
Professional technical knowledge of vehicle exterior components, mechanical structure and low-voltage electrical system is preferred.
Familiar with automotive component full development process and mass production industrialization process.
Native Chinese speaker with fluent English; German language skill is a plus.
Possess strong planning, organizational and supplier management capabilities.
Good communication skill and problem solving skill
