Within this fast growing and developing business of Mercedes-Benz in China, the RDVT department is also continuously developing, with increasing local development activities and deeper localization demand, for CCSI1 team means we need to enhanced chassis system testing and release capabilities are also required. One important role is the EPS System Release and Chassis EE Functional Safety Manager
This means you will:
Define EPS release strategy in order to fulfill overall vehicle EE readiness
Be responsible for the overall EPS (Electric Power Steering) System Release
Leading a cross-functional project team (Steering BTV, Functional Safety Expert, Ride&Handling, NVH and suppliers) to accomplish EPS system release activities
Be responsible for ADAS interface testing and validation
Continuous improvement of EPS release process in China
Be responsible for Impact Analysis to ensure local chassis systems is compliance with functional safety standards throughout the development phase.
As local window person to align with Functional Safety team in HQ
Lead local authority Functional Safety Audit (GB17675) for all local vehicle projects
Education:
University degree in mechanical, automotive engineering or similar engineering qualification
Experience:
Minimum 7 years work experience at international OEMs or Tier1 suppliers
Good understanding of MB RD development process
Profound knowledge of various aspects of development process of Chassis systems (esp. Power Steering/Brake Control)
Strong skills and experiences in communication, presentation and problem solving - Flexible and autonomous working with multiple interfaces internally and externally
Systematic training regarding functional safety standard ISO26262 preferred
Specific Knowledge:
Expert driving skills, proven by respective test driver qualifications (MB T1 minimum)
Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German beneficial
Willingness to travel inside China and abroad for vehicle testing and support launches and issue solving at proving grounds and suppliers
High commitment for premium vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and quality
Self-responsible working attitude and initiative
Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels
Strong planning and organizational skill
Overseas study or work experience preferred
