Objective of job
The Vehicle Network Engineer executes and realizes the vehicle communication architecture defined by the Vehicle Network Architects. This role ensures that network designs are correctly implemented, integrated, and validated across ECUs, zonal controllers, and centralized computing platforms, with strong focus on quality, stability, and timing performance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, Implement and configure in-vehicle communication networks based on defined architecture (CAN, CANFD, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)
- Perform network analysis, debugging, and troubleshooting using tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark)
- Research and implement new ethernet technology, like 10BASE-T1S, Multi-G communication, PON, etc.
- Assist in performing in-vehicle network performance simulation using tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer, collecting simulation data, analyzing network performance issues, and proposing corrective recommendations.
- Participate in the refinement, development and maintenance of the communication matrix, assist in sorting out the network diagnostic system (UDS/DoIP), and improve network communication specifications.
- Assist in conducting network interface integration testing, track test issues, promote defect closure, and ensure network interface compatibility.
- Be responsible for the daily maintenance and user training of network development tools, organize network design documents and simulation reports, and complete filing and archiving.
- Assist in coordinating with suppliers, collecting network-related technical materials, and supporting the selection and adaptation of network components.
