Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Tasks

The mission of the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Shipping/Receiving Clerk is to
verify all incoming and outgoing shipments and handle parts returns from suppliers.

The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Shipping/Receiving Clerk must provide a consistently outstanding brand and customer experience through consistently outstanding preparation, attitude, and teamwork.

  • Verify quantities received and notify supervisor of discrepancies or
    damage.
  • Label all parts with proper part numbers prior to binning and place parts in proper storage locations.
  • Notify supervisor of any monitor part number changes and special
    orders.
  • Prepare a bill of lading for all outgoing shipments.
  • Contact shipping companies for pickup of shipments.
  • Pack outgoing shipments, including parts returns.
  • Verify shipments are correct as documented.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Able to commute into and out of Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years' work experience in shipping / receiving
  • Must be able to work Saturdays.
  • Work Holidays when required.
  • Has "can do" attitude and shows results-orientation, gives his/her
    personal best.
