JOB OVERVIEW

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related education, skills, and experience, geographic location and market conditions.  The current salary range for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future: $160,000.00 - $170,000.00.


The VPC Manager Role is a leadership role that entails leading, managing, and directing a large team to ensure that the VPC wholesale objectives are met. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that MBUSA'S and MBAG’s quality standards and Isogool standards need to be.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, Manage and Supervise 3-5 leaders as direct reports, 100-150 indirect reports and 3rd party support staff, creating a culture of Integrity and Compliance aligned to MBUSA's values. 
  • Support training and learning initiatives for all Team members.
  • Review VPC organizational structure to best utilize and deploy staff to meet wholesale objectives. 
  • Ensure healthy employee morale and employee development initiatives. This includes addressing employee survey issues to continuously drive further improvements.
  • Establish practices with HR to develop and coach Assistant Manager and VPC Forepersons in the areas of effective communication and performance feedback.
  • Ensures all team members have the development and training required to maintain the highest skills and performance levels.
  • Ensures the VPC team continues to develop the skills as required to perform at the highest level. 
  • Requires continuous review of processes to ensure operational efficiently and driving future technicities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Achieve safety, quality, and volume objective by supervising, receiving. preparing, repairing, storage and shipping of all vehicles per the established procedures set forth MBUSA/DCAG.
  • Direct, manage and control the day-to-day operations of the VPC to ensure that quality standards are met and that work is completed in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Expedite customer sold units.
  • Develop, execute, and monitor business and financial plans to meet the performance and cost goals agreed upon by Management.
  • Sustain a high awareness of, and adherence to, MBIJSA safety and environmental procedures and programs. 
  • Maintain inventory, facilities, and equipment in an orderly, safe and secure manner and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Oversee and manage the VPC/MBIJSA accessory installation programs. This role will work closely with Engineering Service and Distribution regarding the implementation and completion of service campaigns/mods in relation to new vehicles and new model launches to meet critical wholesale objectives.
  • Maintain excellent communication / relationships with key stakeholders including production facilities, Market Managers, Service and Parts Managers, key outside vendors and all other relevant stakeholders.
  • Strategic and Annual Planning:
  • o    Develop / manage annual operational for the VPC in conjunction with corporate objectives. 
    o    Develop / manage annual operational budget.
    o    Develop / manage 2-year capital investment plan for the facility.
    o    Manage the facilities capacity and if expansion is required, oversee construction projects to bring existing facilities into required configurations to meet anticipated volume.
    o    Monitor and continuously improve the VPC processes to ensure optimal efficiency and cost.
    o    Manage relationships with local 3rd party support team to assure safety, quality and performance. Services include drivers, accessory install, security, facilities maintenance, and carriers.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience
  • Must have 5 years (total) of experience in the following:

o    Automotive-Retail - General knowledge of retail processes and procedures with emphasis in New and Pre—owned sales, accessories, service and parts. 
o    Quality Assurance - Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability. 
o    Vendor Management - Proficient knowledge of Agency vendor management and budget management.

  • Successful completion of PV44.  (For internal candidates only)
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays when required 


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


Required: 

  • Experience should be in distribution, logistics, production environment and /or automotive products
  • Prior Supervisory experience including the ability to direct and lead Others to identify alternative means of reducing cost and improving quality
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal. written and presentations)
  • Facility management /space utilization experience strongly desired
  • Intercultural sensitivity
  • Aptitude for IT systems as a basis to manage data and processes. 

Preferred: 

  • Knowledge of OSHA, Health and Safety and other regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of port, labor and union / contract relations
  • Budget management experience
  • ISO compliance knowledge
