Objective:

• As a world-leading OEM, Mercedes-benz is looking for an experienced leader who shares the same passion and enthusiasm to deliver best-in-class infotainment products to our customers. This role is responsible for leading a group of infotainment base software Function Owners, to deliver high quality system engineering products, including system requirements, system architecture, system testing solutions, and further, to drive successful end-to-end function deliveries.

Main Tasks:

• Monitoring status and progress of work and making day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities, obtaining assistance from Supervisor as needed;
• Estimating and reporting on expected time of work completion and maintaining work records;
• Distributing and balancing workload among employees and assuring timely accomplishment and quality of work 
  Assisting Supervisor with daily people supervision tasks including but not limited to recruitment, attendance & leave management and LEAD Goal Agreement, Appraisal, and Feedback process; 
• Providing necessary performance coaching and feedback to team members; 
• Reporting to Supervisor on performance, progression and training needs of team members and on disciplinary issues  
• Assisting Supervisor on Section Team Employee Survey follow-ups and team building topics 
• Instructing team members in tasks and job techniques and making available written instructions and reference materials 
• Giving on the job training to new team member; 
• Improving team know-how, answering questions of team members on procedures, policies, directives, etc.; 
• Lead team to deliver infotainment system requirements, system architecture designs, system testing solutions 
• Lead team to drive successful end-to-end deliveries of owned functions, incl. key solution evaluation, critical issue analysis, SW-HW joint debugging, taskforces for key milestones
• Responsible for system engineering relevant process definition, alignment, and refinement 

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering or a related field

Experience

• 5+ years working experience in automotive infotainment or ADAS product system engineering, 3 years working experience in software development
• Experience in team leading
• Very good know-how and experience in infotainment or/and ADAS products
• Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit
• Inter-cultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels
• Independent and pro-active working style, willingness to travel inside China and abroad
• Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language is beneficial

Knowledge

• Knowledge and understanding of widely used automotive software technologies
• Knowledge in hardware of automotive infotainment or ADAS products
• Knowledge in ASPICE is a must
