Introduction:
Coordination of all RD-related activities for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars on MRA2 platform and new projects. Capability to lead as Project Lead Development (PLE) all required development activities according to MDS. Safeguard the passing of relevant project milestones in terms of maturity, costs and timeline. Communication and Coordination of tasks between the responsible Engineers / Model- and Commodity Groups / Commodity Group Leader and Project Management in China and Germany.
Task:
- Ensure the achievement of the entire RD project goals, as documentation, HW & SW availability, documentation maturity, parts maturity, timeline.
- Coordinate all RD- and OV-related activities for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars on New Projects incl. MOPF and Model Years.
- Lead as Project Lead Development (PLE) all required development activities according MDS incl. the lead vehicle of a new platform.
- Safeguard relevant project milestones in terms of maturity, costs and time.
- Steer and lead the communication and coordination of tasks between the responsible commodity group leaders, module group speakers, digital integration, vehicle functions, and cross-function groups, according to the standard project organization (SPO).
- Communicate with Project Management (SPL) and other project sub-leaders (e.g. PP, MP, Cost Planning, BBAC RD/QM/LOG/Production, BMBS, etc.), in China, Germany and India.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanics, automotive engineering or relevant, master’s degree is preferred, 5 years working experience.
- Experience as a project manager, commodity group leader, module group speaker, etc.
- Experience in RD, e.g. vehicle launches, project steering, component, function or system development, etc.
- Detailed understanding of MBC internal processes, e.g. MDS future.
- Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills, German language skills very beneficial.
- Strong leadership ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills (convincing, conflict solving, etc.)
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Intercultural competence and coordination skills, communication with various departments and hierarchy levels.
- A high level of responsibility & pro-activity and ability to deal with stress.
- High commitment for passenger cars.
