Program Management Drivetrain System
Tasks

Objective of job 

The Program Management Drivetrain System Team is part of the department Product and Project Steering. The Program Managers lead the strategic decision-making within China in close alignment with HQ for all locally produced drivetrain systems. They are also responsible to steer the localisation implementation in alignment with all cross-functional project teams.

Main tasks 

- Drive and lead decision making for cost saving measures for series and new generation engines
- Drive alignment with all relevant project stakeholders (e.g. engineering, finance, strategy, production, quality etc.) in China and Germany for powertrain projects
- Coordinate powertrain program management issues for ICE, focused on M254 engine family
- Lead project leader group discussions (PLS) and participate in carline PLS as representative for individual powertrain projects/ topics
- Integrate/consolidate cross-functional inputs and drive decisions for approval in relevant top management meetings (PG D, PBC, MBCC, AMP…) 
- Steer and update the overall localization timelines for drivetrain projects

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:
- University bachelor or master degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or technical orientated Business Administration or similar

Experience:
- 3 - 5 years working experience within Project Management functions in an international environment with automotive background
- Equivalent experience with project related tasks in other departments will be considered as well
- Experience with cost saving programs / knowledge of business case calculation of cost saving measures

Essential Skills:
- Strong project management knowledge and committee moderation 
- Excellent communication / presentation skills 
- Fluent English & Chinese language 
- Open minded and collaborative mindset 
- Ability to understand and explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred skills:
- Ability to understand complex topics and recognize the impact of strategic changes on the whole project
- Well established network within Drive Systems / Platform Steering area in HQ
- Fast and structured MS PowerPoint creation
