Mercedes-Benz Vans is a successful manufacturer of premium light commercial vehicles (LCV) for customers and markets worldwide. Our purpose is “to move transportation to the next level” and to define the LCV business of the future: focused on sustainability, connectivity and digital solutions. We have decided to expand our battery-electric LCV production capacity and implement an entirely new plant next to our existing Mercedes-Benz production facility in Jawor. Scope of duties:

-        Work on planning and establishing the new assembly lines and processes for the VAN.EA vehicle.

-        Take on the work package “process planning” and manage (sub-)projects with external and internal stakeholders.

-        Implement innovative production processes for the new model series.

-        Drive the process of harmonization/standardization, also between the different VAN sites around the world

-        Submit regular reports on progress made and targets achieved to project/team manager.

-        Execute and guide new model planning (influence product development) based on assembly requirements.

-        Prepare project assignments, including steering of projects while adhering to financial and business objectives (costs, deadlines, quality).

-        Work with the vehicle development, series preparation and production units.

-        Independently prepare and perform acceptance inspection and testing of systems and procedures related to the production systems in accordance with applicable legal and corporate regulations.

Education:

-        Bachelor of Engineering or above

Professional skills:

-        Experience in process planning & line balancing

-        Knowledge on series planning processes and systems (such as MTM, Proplan ILB, TOP etc.) for final assembly planning

-        Distinctive abilities to communicate, to analyze and think strategically

-        3-5 years of working experience within production planning

-        Good MS office skills and solid experience in presentations on management level

-        Good communication skills, also in English, with external and internal parties

-        Team player with open-minded work attitude

-        Being able to work in an intercultural team

-        Ability to adapt to new situations

-        Willingness to travel on business for several days if necessary

-        Time flexibility, depending on project requirements
