Objectives:
China is the biggest passenger car market for Mercedes-Benz R&D China, we strive to provide China fit products with China speed. Under this background, more development responsibility of drivetrain parts will be in MB China.
Our aim to seek the qualified R&D engineer, who is responsible for:
Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance of powertrain systems (ICE, hybrid, BEV) development
Ensuring the competitive vehicle NVH quality aligned with project targets and customer expectations
Intergation of powertrain and ensuring the fulfillment of system NVH requirement
To communicate and align the development targets with suppliers according to MB standards
To simluate NVH performance according to MB standards
To verify and validate the engine and powertrain at dyno and vehicle according to MB standards
To monitor the development plan and grant RD release according to project timeline
To lead engine and powertrain lifetime NVH related change, issue resolution, optimization, costdown, new variant development according to MB standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master degree in Automotive, Mechanical or Acoustics/Vibration Engineering
More than 5 years in powertrain development or NVH engineering experience in ICE/e-motor/drivetrain
Strong knowledge of:
NVH fundamentals (noise, vibration, model behavior)
Powertrain systems (ICE, hybrid, BEV)
NVH system thinking (vehicle → system → component)
Cross-functional integration capability
Experience with tools such as: LMS / Test.Lab / HEAD acoustics and CAE tools (e.g. ANSYS, HyperWorks, AMESim)
Strong problem-solving capability and technical ownership & accountability
Structured and analytical thinking
Cross-cultural communication skills
Self-driven and accountable
Ability to drive the critical issue resolution under pressure
Good English skills, both oral and in writing
German language skills preferable
