The Overall Vehicle Integration R&H VAW engineer is accountable for China-specific Ride & Handling system integration across vehicle projects, ensuring target achievement at overall vehicle level (performance, robustness, customer perception) in alignment with global Mercedes-Benz standards.
System & Target Ownership (Vehicle Level)
Define, own and continuously optimize China-specific R&H system targets at overall vehicle level.
Align local targets with global Mercedes‑Benz standards, vehicle line strategies and customer expectations.
Steer chassis functions and modules (suspension, steering, tires, damping systems, etc.) towards target‑conform system performance.
Represent China R&H interests in vehicle projects, committees and cross-functional decision boards.
Validation Strategy & Release Responsibility
Own and steer the R&H validation strategy for China, including test scope, methods and maturity criteria.
Ensure R&H maturity assessment towards Quality Gates, Q‑Release and RGA processes.
Provide technical release recommendations for R&H system readiness at vehicle level.
Align validation concepts with OV Engineering, Testing Teams, QM and BBAC interfaces.
Testing Strategy & Technical Steering
Define and steer China-specific R&H testing concepts, procedures and use cases.
Translate customer usage profiles, road conditions and field feedback into engineering-relevant test requirements.
Technically steer R&H testing activities conducted by internal testing teams and external partners.
Ensure testing results are systematically evaluated, documented and fed back into vehicle and component development.
Issue Governance & Root Cause Steering
Act as system-level owner for R&H issue identification, prioritization and escalation.
Evaluate issues based on customer relevance, system impact and project timing.
Steer root cause analysis across RD functions and suppliers.
Ensure transparent documentation, tracking and reporting of R&H issues in relevant systems.
Cross-Functional & International Coordination
