OBJECTIVE OF JOB
- Managing the SitCenter Regional Hub and guidance of (embedded) security analysts
- Expanding and developing the SitCenter footprint in the region
- Ensure 24/7 SitCenter availability via phone and mail aligned with other hubs and on-call-duty
- Monitoring and creation of risk analysis of the security situation worldwide with focus on the APAC region
- Providing guidance and professional consultation to the business (incl. travelers and assignees) and the local security organizations within the region in all security topics
- Troubleshooting: Execution of measures to mitigate risks in emergency and crisis situations for all Mercedes-Benz employees and locations worldwide
- Digital transformation, project management and management of service provider: develop SitCenter target picture, IT and provider landscape and implement various international projects
- Bridge lessons learned and best practices from headquarter and regions.
- Building up and developing a network of internal and external security experts within the region
JOB DESCRIPTION
(1) Managing SitCenter Hub APAC in the Follow the Sun Concept
· Managing the SitCenter Regional Hub and guidance of the Security Analysts
· Create and adapt processes, products, guidelines and work instructions
· Establishing of finance and controlling processes in the host Business Unit, aligned with the Corporate Security Headquarter (e.g. cross-charging, Service Level Agreements)
· Expanding and developing the SitCenter footprint in the region
· Provider selection and steering
· Preparing and executing of strategy workshops
(2) Mercedes Global Security Situation Center (SitCenter)
· Ensure 24/7 SitCenter availability via phone and email aligned with other hubs e.g. by participating in and securing the 24/7 on-call-duty function
· Monitoring of global security situation with focus on APAC: Prepare and execute analysis to identify and assess security risks (e.g. personal, product, property or information security and reputation) in cooperation with internal and external parties (e.g. embassies, security authorities)
· Prepare comprehensive written reports (from short notifications to full threat analysis), presentations, maps, or charts based on research, collection, and analysis of intelligence data for BoM and other business areas
· Planning/ preparing / executing / debriefing of international security assessments and risk analysis: Holistic, comprehensive or country-focused concepts (on group level) and processes (e.g. site- and information security) with respect to legal requirements (e.g. company agreements, regulatories), respectively country and company specific regulations/characteristics as well as economic aspects.
· Foster the communication flow between headquarter and region.
(3) Emergency and Crisis Management, Expat and Travel Security
· Adequate reaction to security incidents by following the Incident Management Process
· Provide consultation regarding security related matters for business travelers and expats (focus: on demand and for high-risk countries)
· Development of security measures to protect expats and their families and travelers of Mercedes-Benz, alignment of concepts with local Security Officers and Regional Security Officer
· Support the Corporate Crisis Management Team and local Crisis Management Teams with respect to SitCenter function by providing information
· Alignment of emergency management processes with internal and external partners, as well as execution of emergency management on the level below corporate crisis management team
(4) Security Network and Quality Management of Corporate Security & SitCenter Processes
· Deepening and development of internal and external security network e.g. by on-site visits to the most relevant sites and countries
· Ensure the compliance with the Incident Management Process globally with focus on the APAC region, incl. lessons learned
· Regular information exchange with RSO and local Security Officers
(5) Regional project management, communication, consultation and training
· Set up and foster security initiatives in the region together with the business and the regional security organizations. Lead strategic projects and ensure hereby the balance between local, regional and headquarter interests
· Develop of conceptual “blue prints” for the regions, especially in the topics travel and assignee security, information protection, side security, technical security solutions and emergency processes
· Support the business units and the employees in all security topics, especially regarding travel security, event protection, emergency processes etc. in collaboration with the local Security Officer and the Regional Security Officer
· Foster the communication flow of security topics within the region. Ensure lessons learned and sharing of best practice across the region.
EDUCATION LEVEL/TRAINING
University degree in security management, politics, business administration, automotive, educational science, or vocational education within civil security service (upper, higher grade).
SKILLS
· Language skills: German (business level), English (business level), other languages advantageous
· Extended knowledge of O365 applications
· Strong ability to work under pressure, high motivation for the topics, teamwork and ability to manage conflicts in a solution-oriented manner.
SPECIFIC KNOWDLEDGE/SKILLS
Experience in managing crisis situations. Distinctive leadership skills, strong ability to work under pressure, resilience, motivation, and assertiveness. Experience and interest in global travelling, intercultural behavior and global interdependences.
