Objective of Job:
China is a key market driving rapid growth in electric mobility, with evolving standards and increasing competition. Mercedes-Benz's electric drive department in China is expanding its development responsibilities, particularly for EDU and sub-components.
Your responsibilities include:
- Inverter system development
- Creating requirements for inverter incl. considering HW and SW development
- Coordinating and aligning inverter technical solution implementation with suppliers
- Reviewing supplier development concept to fulfill MB EDU/inverter FuSa target
- Collaborating with Powertrain System Integration on FROP and integration plans
Task:
- Generation of inverter system requirements and align with RD Germany if necessary
- Get alignment with supplier for functional satety fulfillment and implementation
- (Co-)Define Function and SW testing requirements
- Be responsible for function and integration of EDU into eDrive system
Be in close contact with EDU system and eDrive team
Qualifications:
Education: University degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering
Experience:
Working Experience in MBC EDU departments focusing inverter SW development
Specific knowledge
- Deep knowledge on inverter system, incl. both HW and SW
- Deep knowledge on EDU/inverter development and process
- Experience with Functional Safety engineering
- Communication skills with various hierarchy levels and different cultural background
- Project management skills to manage cross functional teams and suppliers
- Intercultural experience
- Fluent written/spoken Chinese and English
