About the Role
Mercedes-Benz Tech Malaysia is looking for a creative and motivated Communications Intern to support our Internal Communications team. This role is ideal for final-year university students who have a passion for graphic design, content creation, video editing, event management, and corporate communications. You will gain hands-on experience supporting communication campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, internal events, and multimedia content production while working in a global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Content Creation
• Design communication materials such as posters, banners, infographics, newsletters, digital signages, and presentation slides.
• Develop creative assets for internal campaigns, employee engagement initiatives, and corporate events.
• Create visually appealing content that aligns with Mercedes-Benz brand guidelines.
• Support the development of creative concepts and storytelling materials.
Video Production & Multimedia
• Assist in planning, filming, editing, and producing videos for internal communication campaigns and company events.
• Create short-form videos, event highlights, employee features, and promotional content.
• Support photography and photo editing activities for internal communications.
• Add subtitles, basic animations, transitions, and other visual elements to enhance video content.
Communications Support
• Draft and proofread communication materials including emails, intranet articles, announcements, and event communications.
• Assist in maintaining content on internal communication platforms such as SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
• Support employee engagement campaigns and internal branding initiatives. Event Management
• Support the planning and execution of internal events, workshops, town halls, employee engagement activities, and corporate campaigns.
• Assist with event logistics, registrations, participant communications, and on-site coordination.
• Help capture event highlights through photography and videography.
• Support post-event reporting and feedback collection.
Administrative Support
• Assist with scheduling meetings and managing communication-related documentation.
• Maintain communication asset libraries, photo repositories, and content archives.
• Support administrative tasks related to communication activities and events.
• Assist the team with day-to-day operational and administrative requirements.
Requirements
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Mass Communication, Public
Relations, Marketing, Multimedia, Graphic Design, Creative Media, or a related field.
• Preferred: Final semester students available for a full-time 6 months internship.
• Proficient in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After
Effects).
• Strong graphic design and visual storytelling skills.
• Basic video shooting and editing skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with photography, videography, and social media content creation is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Creative, detail-oriented, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
