Functional Design Architect (Thermal&Comfort) 功能设计架构师(热管理与舒适性)
Tasks
Objective of job

The function architecture (thermal management and comfort) for defining, designing, and evolving the thermal management and comfort domain system design for next-generation electrical/electronic (E/E) systems. This role shall design the EE control system of thermal management and comfort domain in a way that delivers best user experience, safety and security while balancing the system complexity and cost. You will play a key role in enabling software-defined vehicle capabilities by designing the system in a software/hardware decoupled, highly abstract way

Key Responsibilities

 • Be the leading role in the organization to identify the development trend of thermal management and comfort domain system: new tech, new features, etc.

• Be responsible in designing the EE control system for thermal management function for powertrain, HV battery, air conditioning, HVAC, etc.,

• Work with vehicle engineering team, powertrain team and HV system team and develop their requirements into IO requirements, signal and service requirement, safety and security requirement, diagnostic requirement, function specification, performance requirement.

• Lead cross-domain architecture reviews and decision-making • Collaborate with system architects, software teams, and ECU suppliers to ensure seamless integration.

• Be the 1st responsibility to in performing trouble shooting in the thermal management and comfort domain system to ensure the timely and quality delivery.

• Contribute to long-term E/E architecture roadmap

Qualifications
Qualification

Education

 • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in vehicle engineering, electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

Experience

 • 6+ years of experience in thermal management and comfort domain system design, function design

• Experience with OEM or Tier-1 automotive suppliers is strongly preferred

• Experience in delivering thermal management and comfort domain system design in centralized EE architecture and SOA platform is preferred

Technical Skills

 • Familiar with thermal management and comfort design. Strong knowledge in both powertrain/HV thermal management and cabinet comfort function. Familiar with the thermal control algorithm for different powertrain type: BEV/HEV/REEV/PHEV, etc.

• Familiar with the colling requirement of high-performance ECUs like central computing platform, zone controller, etc., able to design the control logic that integrates their cooling requirement with vehicle’s thermal control system.

• Familiar with cross domain functions like intelligent battery warming. Able to coordinate between cockpit, connectivity, HV system and thermal management domains technical wise to deliver such functionalities.

• Based on data collected from field fleet, able to dive into the thermal control logic to identify possibility to improve efficiency of the thermal system to improve vehicle’s driving range.

• Familiar with SOA concepts, able to contribute to system abstraction and API definition for thermal management and comfort domain system.

• Able to work in software way and participate in software design discussion with domain knowhow.

• Familiar with regularly used in-vehicle networks: CAN,Lin,Eth, etc., able to perform thermal management and comfort domain system trouble shooting with these interfaces and software logs.

• Familiar with at least 1 kind of EEA modeling tool, PREEvision, EA, etc., • Familiarity with AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive) is a plus

 Soft Skills

• Strong system-level thinking and architectural mindset

• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work in an international and cross-cultural environment

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
