Job Overview:

This position is the primary owner of the MBFS proprietary consumer contract validation system (“eValidate”). Act as a bridge between Dealers, DSP's, aggregators, and the business center with respect to inbound contract quality. Responsibilities include the monitoring and facilitation of system enhancements including documentation and testing and any new system development. This includes ensuring that UAT and post-production validation are successfully completed on schedule following any scheduled or emergency release. Provide second level support to MBFS end users, Help Desk, Field Team, and dealers and work with the application team to research and resolve system-related issues and product defects. Support eContracting service as needed including but not limited to maintaining the Required Forms List which triggers the eContracting process.  This position will also support the other Origination systems which use eValidate. This position will also serve as the backup for the owner of COS.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Enhancements/Fixes/Releases/Contract changes - Manage & coordinate monthly and ad-hoc release testing activities including review of business requirements, development & Documentation of test cases in Jira, Perform all user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-production validation for all system changes as well as the review and reporting of test results to key stakeholder groups. Approve all monthly or emergency releases. Also create all Project Change Requests (PCR) and contract mappings (XML to contract field) for aggregator vendor for all contract changes. (20%)
  • Liaison- Act as the liaison to internal and external partners such as ITM, Business Center, MBUSA, etc for the validation system and, as assigned, represent all of the Origination Systems on a project. Accountable for developing relationships with the brand partner (MBUSA), Dealer Service Providers, Integrators, as well as internal customers, project teams, delivery partners, and third party project participants (where relevant). (15%)
  • Subject Matter Expert- Participate as SME in the development of corporate initiatives as they relate to system data, functionality and end-user experience. Conduct demos for Operations, interface teams, project teams. Develop presentations to communicate changes/proposals to management. Ensure Cognos reporting is accurate and test as changes are made. (20%)
  • Domain and prioritization - Lead project management activities such as conducting preliminary research, requirements gathering, process documentation/design, conceptual design. Gather feedback on efficiency, usability, and customer experience. Plan for project and enhancement requests. Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance. Collect, document, prioritize & maintain detailed backlog in Jira of Business & IT enhancements/features &/or fixes as a result of the feedback from key stakeholders (Dealers/Field staff, Business, Interfacing systems – business and IT teams through regular production support). Active participation in Contract Origination Domain. ( 10%)
  • Vendor relationship manager for all vendors used and/or interfaced with for services through eValidate which may include but not limited to Open Dealer Exchange (ODE), Kelley Blue Book, DealerTrack DMS. Perform vendor management oversight and communication as required by the Vendor Management Office and the Corporation including regular business reviews and meetings, Data@Cloud reviews, information security assessments. Create POs for the Deal Exchange invoices that come to DDOS team for PCRs (Project Change Request) that this role creates for every new lease agreement or retail contract revision. Process/pay invoices that come to DDOS, monitor the balances of those POs, and monitor the POs for services provided by vendor. (5%)
  • Compliance:  Create, maintain, and publish all compliance system procedures in Compass. Ensure compliance to all policies – corporate internal and external – that may apply to eValidate including but not limited to ICS, KPMG, CMS, A22. (5%)
  • System Support - Conduct production incident management process, including but not limited to identification, root cause analysis, resolution and tracking. Take ownership of second level support, liase with vendors and ITM partners, act as communication hub. (25%)
  • Provide after-hours support to Dealer Services, Field and Funding teams as needed. Most production releases occur on a Sunday and on-line presence and validation support required. In the case of an urgent production issue that occurs after-hours, support will be needed. Ensure support available during stakeholders' working hours which may include evenings and weekends. Also participate in rotation with otherss in on-call responsibility to publish dealer notices if any system affecting dealer/customer experience is intermittently or completely down.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of application. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. 
This position requires a minimum of 5-8 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes:

  • Business-General: 5 years
  • Credit: 1-3 years
  • Customer Service: 2+ years
  • Funding: 2+ years
  • Information Technology: 2 years
  • Vendor Management: 1 year

Education:
High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Recommended majors include:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, will consider candidate with High School Diploma with strong Business Center Background.


Additional Knowledge:

  • Understanding of dealer contracting process with knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management System) being very helpful

  • Demonstrated proficiency with consumer discounting process. In depth understanding of consumer lending regulations. (2+)

  • In depth understanding of COS, CASE360, NFA, VIPS 2.0 and ALFA in order to support data and process interaction with eValidate. (1+)
  • Ability to explain technical system concepts to variety of audience members.

Recommended Prerequisites:

  • Prior experience in Discounting or as a System/Product Owner is strongly encouraged. Other recommended prerequisites including understanding of automotive business specific to MBFS, being detail-oriented, and ability to analyze problems.
