Objectives:
Leading the EPS/ESP diagnostic activities in China.
Define the EPS/ESP diagnostic strategy in China and work closely with supplier for development.
Plan and execute the EPS/ESP diagnostic validation and release.
Closely collaborate with EPS/ESP development team, vehicle testing teams and suppliers to follow up EPS/ESP relevant issues.
Lead the EPS/ESP issue resolution incl. root cause analysis, countermeasure development, countermeasure validation and releases etc.
Support EPS/ESP component development in China in the Chassis Team.
Support component development according to Mercedes-Benz Development System (MDS).
Co-Creation with RD Germany, local suppliers, purchase and quality counterparts.
Development & release component drawings & 3D models with suppliers, including technical documentation of Engineering Changes.
Identification of China specific requirements and communication towards HQ.
Technical support to Joint Venture BBAC RD.
Support engineering change implementation throughout product lifecycle of localized components of all locally produced Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
Act as the window person between joint venture plant and RD HQ, provide technical support for production engineering issues.
Support on system diagnostic issues for the Plant during tryout/pre-production/series production phases.
Working together with Field Quality organization on Chinese market issues.
Qualification:
Education:
Master degree or above, major in electrical engineering, computer engineering, information engineering, embedded systems, automotive engineering or a related engineering field
Experience:
Profound Chassis EE systems SW/HW (EPS, ESP etc.) design, testing and release knowledge at OEMs or Tier1 suppliers
Specific Knowledge:
Proficient in EPS/ESP system development and diagnostic processes, standards, and toolchains; have an in-depth understanding and insights into the EPS/ESP development trends of automotive products and technologies;
Strong technical know-how on cross domain vehicle network communication protocols;
Good understanding on Automotive AUTOSAR architecture;
Expert driving skills, proven by respective test driver qualifications;
Vector diagnosis software knowledge (CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer);
Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills
Strong ownership and high motivation to solve difficult problems with cross-function team;
Willingness to travel inside China and abroad to prepare and support launches and issue solving at suppliers
High commitment for premium vehicles of Mercedes-Benz and quality
Self-responsible working attitude and initiative
Intercultural competence and communication skills with various hierarchy levels
Strong planning and organizational skills
Overseas study or work experience preferred, German language preferred
