The Navigation team in RD Korea is in charge of navigation development, and we strive to deliver superior customer experience in order to meet and exceed customer’s expectations. To tackle this challenge, we are looking for an engineer who can contribute to our products along with the company’s development strategy. 
We are looking for an engineer who will contribute to the development, validation and continuous improvement of Navigation Guidance functions, map data solutions and map update services for current and future MBUX Navigation Systems. The role involves collaborating with global teams and suppliers to deliver high-quality navigation experiences for Mercedes-Benz customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive Navigation Guidance functions including feature definition, validation, issue analysis and quality improvement activities.
• Analyze customer feedback and system behavior to improve navigation guidance quality and user experience.
• Support the analysis and resolution of navigation related issues reported from development, testing and customer feedback activities.
• Support NDS-based map data integration, validation and release activities.
• Coordinate map update planning, validation and deployment with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Collaborate with global development teams, map providers and software suppliers to ensure high quality navigation solutions.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

본 포지션은 현재 및 차세대 MBUX 내비게이션 시스템의 Navigation Guidance 기능, 지도 데이터 솔루션 및 지도 업데이트 서비스를 개발, 검증 및 지속적으로 개선하는 역할을 담당합니다. 또한 글로벌 개발팀 및 협력사와 긴밀히 협업하여 전 세계 Mercedes-Benz 고객에게 최고의 내비게이션 경험을 제공하는 데 기여하게 됩니다.

주요 업무 (Responsibilities)

• MBUX 내비게이션 시스템의 Navigation Guidance 기능에 대한 기능 정의, 검증, 이슈 분석 및 품질 개선 업무를 주도합니다.
• 고객 피드백 및 시스템 동작을 분석하여 내비게이션 안내 품질과 사용자 경험을 개선합니다.
• 개발, 시험 및 고객 피드백 과정에서 보고된 내비게이션 관련 이슈의 분석 및 해결을 지원합니다.
• NDS(Navigation Data Standard) 기반 지도 데이터 통합, 검증 및 릴리스 활동을 지원합니다.
• 내부 조직 및 외부 협력사와 협력하여 지도 업데이트 계획, 검증 및 배포 업무를 조율합니다.
• 글로벌 개발팀, 지도 데이터 공급업체 및 소프트웨어 협력사와 협업하여 고품질 내비게이션 솔루션을 제공합니다.
• 프로젝트 우선순위, 일정 및 산출물을 관리합니다.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Vehicle Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science or Geographic Information/Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software development, navigation systems, digital maps, GIS, or related technical fields.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Korean.
• Valid Korean driver’s license (eligible for an internal driver license) for passenger cars.

Preferred qualifications

• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Experience in navigation software development or map release activities.
• Knowledge of NDS (Navigation Data Standard) and digital map technologies.
• Understanding of navigation guidance concepts, route calculation and user-facing navigation features.
• Experience collaborating with map data providers, automotive suppliers, or global teams.
• Understanding of embedded software development and navigation systems.
• Experience in a multicultural working environment.
• Experience in software debugging, issue analysis or system validation.
