Main Task Description for Sustainability and Research E4 Deputy General Manager position

·        Lead the teams: Product Data management.

o   Lead of the teams for Sustainability, Research, Future Materials, Bionic Cast and Costing.

o   Developing the strategy for the team and alignment with Partner

o   Responsible for the team competencies & enabling incorporating emerging technologies of AI/ML into business for better efficiency & quality.

·        People Management

o   Manpower planning, recruitment and allocation

o   Knowledge and competency build-up

o   Technical Mentoring to the team.

o   Target setting, performance monitoring, coaching and mentoring

o   Keep the employee commitment level high

·        Safeguard the critical resources and information

·        Projects Delivery and Communication

o   Ensure quality and timelines of every deliverables in the projects

o   Work out efficient processes and improve existing processes to improve the efficiency, excellence and competitiveness of the RD/IDR department.

·        Ensure effective team, customer and supplier communication

·        Global Networking

o   Keep and develop very good network and communication to Engineering RD centers Germany.

o   Business development and process improvement through networking and contacts

o   Build up work relationship with relevant suppliers

·        Develop good image of MBRDI department within Mercedes Benz AG

o   Financial planning for the team and projects

·        Optimal utilization of all the resources

o   Align strategic direction of team for RD/IDR department strategy
