Objective of Job:

Defect management is responsible for driving tickets resolution process for China market, leading and coordinating issue resolution in different projects, aligning and creating transparency among global development teams, ensure successful MBUX issue resolution and software maturity.

-        Control and managing defect status in different defect relevant system, ensure all the data is up-to-date and synchronized

-        In software delivery phase, own the overview of MBUX defects and provide the transparency to all relevant functions.

-        Drive defect management process to ensure together with MBUX project lead and system integration an effective progress of bug fixing

-        Collaborate with system integration and domain defect responsible person as well as FOs to ensure software maturity

-        Keep alignment with Headquarter regarding defect progress

-        Regular report to project lead, cross domain FO/PO and management regarding software maturity and debug progress

-        Weekly/daily dashboard update to create transparency about status quo to the project team

-        Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLM-based assistants, AI-powered analytics) to automate defect triage, categorization, and trend analysis; use AI-driven insights to enhance reporting quality, identify recurring issues, and accelerate root cause resolution.

-     Drive escalation to management if defect tickets/debug lead time overdue 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer or similar major)

• Basic knowledge in at least one of the programming languages (Java, C++, Swift/Objective C, Python, etc.)

•  Good knowledge about software development process

• At least 2+ years of experience in software/vehicle development projects

•  Advance knowledge in terms of methodologies in project management, e.g. project plan, risk analysis, PMP is a plus

•  Experience with in-car telematics and ADAS application is plus

• Experience working in an Agile development environment, CICD, Agile/Scrum methodology, experience as scrum master or product owner is plus

• Advanced MS Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar PM tools

• Familiarity with AI-powered tools for defect management, including automated defect triage, pattern analysis, and AI-assisted report generation (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or similar LLM-based tools)

• Experience using AI/ML-based approaches to analyze defect trends, predict risk areas, and accelerate root cause analysis is a plus

• Self-responsibility with high motivation for moving things forward, team player with team spirit

• Leading and drive spirit with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

• Willingness to travel inside China and foreign countries. 

• Very good English. German is a plus.
