Job Overview

 

The incumbent is responsible for defining, developing and maintaining the architecture approach of SAP landscape. Developing a technical architecture roadmap and standards. Work with Process and Functional leads in SAP project to understand the Solution Architecture. Work with hardware, hosting &, infrastructure as well as the support service partners to understand referred technologies and capabilities. Ensure the applicable teams deploy good SAP practice in operating the solution and advice clients accordingly. The ability to lead troubleshooting of critical problems, performance tuning. 

 

Responsibilities

Support Stable SAP Environment & Operations

·       Design, plan and deliver current and future SAP environments

·       Develop and maintain Technical Architecture approach, including the development of Technical Architecture Road Maps and Standards, Sizing Standards, Change Control Standards

·       Lead troubleshooting of critical problems, performance tuning

·       Derive suitable SAP and non-SAP Products, Versions and Maintenance Plans to support the Solution Architecture

·       Understanding of SAP’s product strategy, roadmap on new technologies and tools & recommending relevant solutions 

Aftersales IT systems Rollout Support

Aftersales systems Paragon, DView & Blue yonder would be replaced with FSL 2.0 (S/4 HANA Service Parts Planning), S/4 EWM & SAP SPP systems in the next few years for NAFTA markets.

·       Aligning markets requirements with Paragon CoC & EWM CoC for application rollout to NAFTA markets.

·       Align with the business on the business requirements and design standardized processes in FSL 2.0 and minimize local specific customizations.

·       Implement functional changes required towards application rollouts

·       Perform testing and collaborate with business for user acceptance testing.

Paragon 2.0 UI & Star Order + Dealer Front end Applications

·       Perform fit gap analysis of Paragon 2.0 (webdynpro front-end) functionality vs. Star Order + (home-grown solution) functionality.

·       Identify core functionality needed in Star Order + to provide seamless experience for NAFTA dealers.

·       Responsible to identify the custom market specific functionality needed for NAFTA dealers in Star Order + dealer front end application.

·       Provide solution experience with design and development of Fiori apps for business for ease of use.

System Integration solutions

·       Monitoring of system interfaces between SAP with all integrated systems.

·       Provide guidance to offshore team to resolve system integration issues.

·       Collaborate with application teams, Infrastructure & SI partner teams to implement the system integration solutions.

·       Provide guidelines, KPIs for measuring efficiency and optimizing process flows.

·       Provide technical expertise in interface set-up and related topics.

Application Development

·       Define developing coding patterns, best practices, and standards as it relates to SAP technical Landscape.

·       Development of RICEFW objects & UI5/Fiori/Mobile apps and external system integrations.

·       Participate in Agile Scrum sprint planning, artifact creation, sprint testing, regression testing, demonstrations and retrospectives and solution releases.

·       Build and lead development efforts, performing in-depth analysis related to complex system issues

Subject Matter Expert

·       Provide functional and SAP technical expertise, collaborating and reviewing, coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer to the development community.

·       Interfacing with the project team and external systems/projects to clarify requirements.

·       Providing functional, ABAP, UI5, Mobile, Java and PI/PO expertise.

·       Experience with design and development of REST API platform using Apigee/APIM, converting web services from SOAP to REST or vice-versa.

·       Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization.

·       Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes

Application transformation & Innovation Support

·       Evaluate and implement Chatbot to support our business and dealers.

·       Evaluate and implement GenAI use cases in the aftersales area.

·       Implement SAP BTP use cases to provide seamless experience to the dealers.

·       Review existing business processes for optimizations and leverage opportunities to innovate and automate.

·       Provide support in Application transformation areas – latest middleware technologies, mobility etc.

·       Move existing legacy interfaces and processes towards API’s and microservices.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) and relevant work experience with emphasis in:

·       Computer/Information Science

·       Information Technology

·       Management Information System (MIS)

·       Logistics (MM & SD)

·       ABAP/UI5/FIORI development

·       Business Management

·       Information Technology

Knowledge (necessary to perform proficiently in this position)

Must have 10 + years (total) of experience in the following:

·       Must have 10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP, Fiori development, O data services, API services along with SD & MM functional experience with S/4 HANA SCM experience

·       in-depth consulting experience in technical and operational topics for multiple components of Aftersales SAP systems, interfaces with SAP and non-SAP 3rd party products

·       Expertise in Order-to-Cash & Procure to Pay processes with extensive working knowledge in Customizations & Configurations, from Enterprise Structures to Billing interfaces with FICO modules

·       Excellent communication & technical skills in driving coordination with business managers, IT teams, technical developers, and business users

·       Leading troubleshooting of critical problems, performance tuning, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

·       Knowledge of parts and accessories businesses, marketing strategies and other business practices

·       Able to set direction, technical scope and to build / lead teams of technical individuals and manage their technical deliverables

·       Ability to develop custom applications using ABAP, UI5/ Fiori, other Mobile and Java technologies

·       Should have expert skills in fixing complex technical issues including Performance issues, Object Oriented Program development and implementing automations and workflows
