As a Trainee in Overall Vehicle Testing, you will significantly drive the advancement of our vehicle tests through the application of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. You will delve deep into processes, identify potentials for digital optimization, and thus shape the future of vehicle testing. In close collaboration with colleagues from vehicle testing, specialist departments like Powertrain and EE, measurement technology development, and IT experts for cloud services, you will learn about the complexity of overall vehicle testing and validation up to RD release. Your work will contribute to developing innovative solutions and increasing the efficiency of our processes. 

• An above-average degree (master, MBA or doctorate) in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a comparable technical/scientific field of study
• Maximum of 3 years of professional experience in automotive (apart from studies) e.g., in the automotive industry, ideally in areas such as testing, vehicle simulation, measurement technology, data analysis, AI projects, machine learning
• At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel)
• Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends
• Ideally experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), Big Data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and handling measurement software and simulation environments (e.g., dSPACE, CANape, CarMaker)
• We value applicants who show a strong sense of social responsibility
• Excellent English skills (C1), Excellent German (at least B2, ideally C1)
• You are eager to shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with exceptional analytical abilities
• You demonstrate strong teamwork skills who motivates others to achieve their goals
