Key Responsibilities:• Lead a team of 15–25 engineers as a Sr. Program Manager and People Leader in Wiring Harness – Schematics Development for Mercedes-Benz Car Group.
• Lead the DMU/Schematics Development team for passenger cars.
• Take ownership of people management and technical decision-making within the team.
• Define and manage team target agreements in alignment with organizational goals.
• Guide and steer team members through various project and technical maturity milestones.
• Manage supplier governance for various projects and related suppliers at Mercedes-Benz Car Group.
• Ensure all functional and system-level targets are achieved as per component specifications.
• Coordinate closely with Wiring Harness team colleagues and cross-functional teams at Mercedes-Benz Car Group.
• Take technical release responsibility for Wiring Harness topics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support team management in achieving organization-level and team-level targets.
• 16–19 years of overall industry experience.
• 12–14 years of relevant experience in Wiring Harness domain and components in design and development.
• Strong understanding of various systems and components from low-voltage Wiring Harness, E/E systems, and components inside passenger cars.
• Experience in leading teams and managing people as a People Leader.
• Technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, connectors, electrification, circuit creation, electrical architecture, power electronics, and related engineering requirements.
• Technical expertise in vehicle schematics development.
• Awareness of relevant legal requirements, system-level functions, and testing.
• Strong understanding of product development processes and project timelines.
• Experience in engineering supplier governance.
• Experience in handling field issues, idea generation, and problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams across the globe.
• Strong people management and stakeholder management skills.
• Awareness of PLM systems.
• Engineering Graduate in Electronics Engineering / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification in Design / Power Electronics / Electrical Engineering will be preferred.
• Awareness of future technological advancements in the automotive industry in domains such as Wiring Harness, Battery, High Voltage, and autonomous mobility.
• German language skills and global project experience.
• Experience working with Mercedes-Benz norms, standards, and processes.
• Exposure to CAD tools such as Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, and PREEVision.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and international project teams.
