At Mercedes-Benz Manhattan, the Service Advisor is a key ambassador responsible for delivering a world-class customer experience. This role requires consistent professionalism, preparation, teamwork, and a customer-first mindset. The Service Advisor is directly responsible for driving service sales, maintaining gross profit, and ensuring customer satisfaction through every step of the service journey.
Responsibilities
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience through consistent professionalism, preparation, positive attitude, and effective teamwork.
• Use all available communication tools (phone, email, text, internal systems) to maintain clear, timely, and proactive contact with customers regarding service status, approvals, and follow-ups.
• Accurately determine required maintenance and identify the cause of malfunctions; refer to a qualified technician for further diagnostics as needed.
• Review and supply UVEYE report thoroughly with customers during write-up to verify customer concerns and identify any additional necessary repairs,damage or maintenance.
• Present clear, accurate, and transparent estimates for labor and parts.
• When total service costs are not initially known, provide diagnostic charges and obtain customer approval before proceeding with further repairs.
• Follow up consistently on each repair throughout the day, updating the customer with changes in estimates, timelines, or required work.
• Accurately document all changes on the repair order following dealership guidelines and standards.
• Handle all customer communications—calls, emails, and text messages—regarding work in progress, appointments, service updates, and technical inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Review and compare the final invoice against the original repair order for accuracy; analyze quality control reports to ensure high service standards are met.
• Coordinate vehicle delivery to the customer with a thorough and professional explanation of services performed, reinforcing confidence and trust.
• Contact the customer prior to vehicle delivery to confirm readiness and address any final concerns or questions.
• Consistently demonstrate a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction, going above and beyond to build trust and long-term loyalty.
• Ensure all sublet repairs are properly handled and recorded on copy of repair order.
• Write up and manage service for customer, new, used, and internalans lease vehicles with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prepare repair estimates efficiently and accurately, ensuring customers are fully informed of all services and costs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.
• Reliably commute to and from Manhattan/New York City on a daily basis.
• Minimum 3+ years experience as a Service Advisor in an Automotive Dealership.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on detail and follow-through.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a customer-first approach.
• Proficiency with service department software (e.g., CDK/ADP//MYKARMA or similar platforms).
• A passion for the Mercedes-Benz brand and a strong commitment to upholding luxury standards and delivering excellence.
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000. This position is heavily commissioned.
