Senior Program Manager: Seats CAE (Integration/Comfort/Crash Safety)

 

Summary:

Senior Program Manager who has a proven leadership experience & track record of managing complex teams and projects. Preferably in CAE based Performance evaluations (Crash, Occupant/Component Safety, Seat Comfort, NVH, BSR, Durability, etc..) for Full vehicle/Interior/Exterior – modules.

 

Qualification & Experience:

·        Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. of Engg. in Mechanical (or) Equivalent

·        14+ years of experience, preferably in CAE based Performance evaluations (Crash, Occupant/Component Safety, Seat Comfort, NVH, BSR, Durability, etc..) for Full vehicle/Interior/Exterior – modules.

·        Experience in the Seat systems is preferred.

·        Minimum 2+ years of people, operations, & business leadership experience is necessary.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·     Lead and inspire digital simulation teams supporting for product development and validations – For Seats CAE (Integration, Crash Safety, Seat Comfort, etc.).

·     Ensure that the team follows on time delivery and quality of performance evaluations & counter measures with respect to project milestones and requirements respectively

·        Drive innovations

·        Drive continuous improvements and efficiencies

·        Coordinate with various stakeholders (internal and external) – Team, Partners in Germany and Pune, Suppliers

·        Responsible for people management & career development of the team members

·        Act as a first point of escalation for all project, Operations, and business-related queries

·        As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment & implementation of projects/programs in line with organization strategy

·        Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed

·        Flexible to travel globally, based on business need to participate in various technical and management discussions

·        Connect with Academia and industrial ecosystem

 

Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in automotive components, systems and overall vehicle functions.
  • Extensive experience in CAE based methods and tools for performance evaluations in various functions (Crash, Occupant/Component Safety, Comfort, NVH, BSR, Durability, CFD, etc.) in an OEM or Tier-1/2 environment – Preferably (but not limited to) Full vehicle/Interior/Exterior – modules
  • Good understanding of functional performance requirements of various automotive systems
  • Good understanding of vehicle development processes and digital product validations
  • Strong project management skills – Planning, scheduling, driving & delivery
  • People and business management skills - At least 2+ years in people management as a line manager, managing high complexity projects, diverse systems and business partners.
  • Ability to drive innovations in process, product and business
  • Demonstrates good business acumen & strong inter-personal skills
  • Ability to intervene and resolve conflicts – technical and people
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and experience working with global/local teams.
  • Advantage to global working experiences
  • Ability to connect with universities and industrial ecosystem
  • Knowledge of German language is highly desirable
