Senior Program Manager - ITH/IM

We are seeking a Portfolio Manager with strong technical expertise and deep knowledge of automotive manufacturing operations. This role will drive strategic alignment, optimize portfolio performance, and lead initiatives across production, digital transformation, and operational excellence within manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of manufacturing, engineering, and digital transformation projects across automotive operations

  • Align portfolio initiatives with business goals such as cost reduction, productivity, quality, and throughput improvement

  • Prioritize projects based on ROI, plant capacity, and operational impact

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and IT

  • Track portfolio performance using KPIs like OEE, cycle time, scrap rate, and downtime

  • Identify risks in manufacturing programs and implement mitigation strategies

  • Drive standardization and best practices across plants

  • Present portfolio insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Technical Responsibilities
  • Understand manufacturing systems, shop-floor processes, and plant operations

  • Work with tools such as Jira, SAP, MES systems, and Azure DevOps

  • Analyze operational and financial data using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau

  • Support digital initiatives like Industry 4.0, IoT, and smart factory solutions

  • Evaluate system integrations between MES, ERP, and shop-floor automation

  • Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimization and automation

Manufacturing Domain Expertise (Automotive)
  • Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes such as:

    • Stamping, welding (BIW), painting, and final assembly

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)

  • Knowledge of plant performance metrics:

    • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

    • First Pass Yield (FPY)

    • Takt time and cycle time

  • Familiarity with quality standards like IATF 16949 and continuous improvement practices

  • Understanding of supply chain integration, inventory control, and just-in-time (JIT) production

  • Exposure to automation technologies, robotics, PLCs, and industrial systems

  • Experience in handling multi-plant or global manufacturing portfolios is a plus

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, or related field

  • 7–12+ years of experience in portfolio/program/project management in manufacturing environments

  • Strong understanding of Agile, hybrid delivery, and traditional project management

  • Proven experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing industries

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen (cost savings, ROI, budgeting)

  • Excellent stakeholder management across plant and corporate teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP / PgMP / Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)

  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP (PP/MM modules)

  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies and digital manufacturing

  • Exposure to global automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers
