Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking a Sr. Technical Lead with a strong technical background in BIW repair and spare parts documentation in GCSP, After Sales domain.

What is GCSP?

GCSP is the bridge between RD and retailers that defines and ensures the wellness of every vehicle ever produced until its entire lifecycle and till it becomes a classic. GCSP affects our retailers & workshops directly and ensures customer satisfaction throughout their vehicle use experience. Overall GCSP generates more than 30% of revenue for the entire organization.

For this every component of every vehicle needs to be rightly understood, to define the best ways it can be assessed in the workshop environment for service and maintenance. Technical understanding of entire vehicle systems in relation to the way it was designed and the environment it will be manufactured, assembled, sold, and maintained is particularly important.

 

1.     Job Overview:

 

You will be responsible for

·         Spare parts creation for various vehicle assemblies.

·        Establish part supersessions by analyzing engineering change notes and documentation updates.

·        Resolve technical queries related to spare parts documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

 

 

2.     Principle Accountability

 

·        Own end-to-end spare parts creation deliverables.

·        Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders (Logistics and Technical teams) to clarify requirements and resolve queries.

·        Monitor the teams progress and ensure task completion within the agreed SLA.

·       Additionally, you carry responsibility for committed projects, resource-planning and aligning work with respect to the department strategy maintaining Quality, Cost, Time.

·       You will need to ensure KPI of the projects are monitored, tracked and targets achieved as per yearly agreements.

·       QMS standards are followed, tracked, and monitored on regular basis.

·       You will have to connect with all stakeholders regularly for partner engagement and when required escalation management.

·       You will be expected to participate in Innovation and continuous improvement activities.

·       You should be improving your competency overtime.

Qualification: Graduate/ Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

Experience: 5 to 8 years in Spare Parts documentation for Aftermarket in Automobile

3.     Skillsets/Experience

·       Strong expertise in engineering change management, including variant control and BOM management.

·       Working knowledge of product data management (PDM) systems and part lifecycle management.

·       German language proficiency is required.
