Job Objective:
Providing product safety consultation on request of the Function Owners, including identifying product safety and product liability risks, with focus on User-Interaction topic and Driver Distraction.
Supporting the development of reasonable solutions in collaboration with the relevant development teams, interdisciplinary experts, and the legal department. Involve the relevant HQ departments if necessary, initiating and enforcing concept and product changes required from a product safety perspective.
Support and critical evaluation of customer studies (with focus on driver distraction and user interaction) conducted either by internal departments or by external institutes on behalf of Mercedes‑Benz. Document studies for use in potential litigation.
Benchmark of local products and safety concepts and deriving reasonable approaches for market specific solutions.

Qualification:
Academic Degree (Master or PhD) in Traffic and Transportation Psychologist or similar.
5+ years experience in design and critical evaluation of customer studies, preferably with focus on driver distraction, driver assistance systems and user interface topics
High motivation and strong ability to work in a highly dynamic, multi-cultural working environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
