Job objective
Ensure that our vehicles fulfill the Mercedes-Benz standards regarding overall vehicle NVH, Sound & Aero performance for the Chinese customer.
Task description
Derive and implement China-specific requirements based on own experience and in cooperation with other RD departments
• Align and define NVH, sound & aero-acoustic performance targets and develop respective measures together within RD China and the global RD network
• Communicate and drive the implementation of the China-specific NVH, sound & aero-acoustic performance in vehicle projects (via Project groups, Commodity groups, Function integration groups). Provide input to functional and module strategies (China Requirement Working Groups, collaboration within global RD network).
• Prepare and align NVH, sound & aero-acoustic release documentation
Development and adjustment of NVH, sound & aero-acoustic function features to China-specific conditions and requirements
• Develop, adjust and validate NVH, sound & aero-acoustic testing procedures to meet major use cases in China in order to evaluate and release the NVH, sound & aero-acoustic performance.
• Identify most harming and customer-related parameters based on field research, customer observation and feedback.
Plan and conduct NVH, sound & aero-acoustic testing in China
• Plan and prepare the required vehicles, parts and resources.
• Conduct NVH, sound & aero-acoustic tests according to Mercedes-Benz standards and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate tests on test benches and test facilities of GRC and 3rd parties.
• Organize evaluation drives and management drives.
• Create test reports and regularly present testing progress in relevant committees.
Issue finding, tracking and documentation
• Proper documentation of any issue findings in systems accordingly.
• Reproduce issues and support further analysis.
• Report the updated failure solving status at issue tracking platforms.
