Job Overview:
Support the management team in leading the enhancement of a production culture that follows the Mercedes-Benz Production system (MPS), with the focus on lean production and shop floor management.
Responsibilities:
- Consult and support sub-projects and working packages
- Coordinate responsible projects during all phases with regard to management methods, quality, risks, and deadlines
- Define, coordinate and manage cross-functional and cross-departmental projects for increasing productivity, assure standardization and plant strategy development.
- Responsible for implementation and improvement of complex methods concerning productivity control
- Identify/control activities for improving productivity on the basis of key indicators development analysis
- Develop forecast and simulation tools, as well methods to derive monthly and yearly productivity targets
- Implement and collaborate in the creation of HPV-reports as well as the reporting of all topics regarding productivity
- Participate in monthly processes to assist in the coordination of the workforce & the program (PAS-processes) with HR
- Support management in the internal and external communication strategy for the entire plant
- Acts as the technical and disciplinary lead of the group
- Assumes ownership and accountability for personnel management. Responsible for evaluations/reviews, coaching, counseling, coordination of workflow, and scheduling for the team.

Project Management Specialist; Productivity Development Specialist; Lean Manufacturing Specialist; Continuous Improvement Trainer
• Bachelors Degree
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in optimization of several production shops and as a trainer/coach for shop floor management and lean management strongly preferred
• Several years of experience within different divisions of Daimler preferred
• Completed PV-45 required for internal candidates
• MPS Expert certification preferred
Knowledge & Skills
(1) Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, German preferred.
(2) Experience in the calculation and usage of production KPIs and ability to prepare detailed technical reports
(3) Experience in the usage of project management methods
(4) Experience in project/process planning/ strategic/conceptual work and in leading extensive functional and cross functional projects within a plant and interfaces with planning departments and external consultants/service providers
(5) Expert in problem solving methods.
