Mercedes-Benz D.R.I.V.E. Academy: 
•    The program consists of onsite training and work, lasting a total of 12 months. Your targeted base training/work week will be 40 hours.
•    You will attend training at BTI Monday - Friday (Days only).
•    Internal D.R.I.V.E. Academy students’ shift schedule during their six (6) months of working in Repair will be determined based on manpower needs.  Students are not guaranteed a day shift assignment.
•    In order to be eligible for this program, Applicants must be able to pass an aptitude exam that includes basic Math and Science test and Hands-on Assessment.
•    Applicants who are currently in a Team Leader role (or higher), and are chosen for this program, must transition to Team Member pay.
•    Only those students who successfully complete the program, pass all assessments and receive positive Group Leader evaluations will be considered for open Repair Technician positions.
•    Candidates must provide documentation to show they meet the required criteria of eligibility. 
 

Qualifications

Required Production criteria:
•    Must have a minimum of 3 years as a full-time MBUSI Team Member.
•    Satisfactory ratings on your performance evaluation.
•    No active CPR.
•    Must provide a written recommendation from current (Group Leader that has applicant has been reporting to for the past six (6) months), Production Group Leader prior to interview. 
Required Technical criteria: (Must provide supporting documentation) candidates must meet one or more of the qualifications listed below:
•    3 years’ Automotive experience in a production/manufacturing environment or Automotive Service environment (dealership service center, independently-owned service center).
•    2 years’ military training and experience in one of the automotive areas/trades (e.g. Motor Pool).
•    Associate’s Degree or 2-year technical certification in one of the industrial trades.
•    Completion of a 2-year minimum registered or certified apprenticeship program in one of the industrial trades. 
Educational Criteria:
•    Able to successfully pass Automotive Repair Skill Assessment
•    Able to pass Basic Math/Science Test
