Mechanical Component Development – Chassis (After Sales)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in the area of Chassis Component Development with Automotive OEMs. Experience with MNCs preferred. Prior experience with German OEMs/organizations is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of Chassis components, suspension systems, and drivetrain integration.
  • Extensive experience in Component Validation, Engineering, and Product Development for Chassis systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the new product development lifecycle, from concept through testing and production.
  • Exposure to supplier management, supplier engagement, and negotiations is preferred.
  • Good understanding of testing requirements and procedures for chassis components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in root cause analysis.
  • Exposure to teardown and assessment of chassis component wear is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
  • A quick learner with strong team collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of German language is an added advantage.
  • International work experience is a strong plus.

    Job Description

     

    1.     New supplier development for Afterseries components

    2.     Supplier audits in co-ordination with the RD and MP colleagues

    3.     New raw material suggestion for the existing components

    4.     Suggest the component level testing and validate the results

    5.     Engineering documentation of the Afterseries parts in Dialog and Smaragd

    6.     Coordinate with various stakeholders (GCSP Logistics, MP, Suppliers etc) to make sure the parts reach to various markets based on the demand

    7.     Participation in various Technical Meetings (Gremiums) based on the need

    8.     Suggestion of reman or alternate components to benefit the customers in-turn supporting customer retention

     

    Qualifications

    Educational Qualification

     

    • BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
