Job Description:
Engineer/Senior Engineer, System and Software Validation
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking Engineers/Senior Engineers with a strong technical
background in System and Software Validation.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for software integration and creation of system simulations in CANoe, CAPL- based virtual simulation
environment.
2. Responsible for system validation of body and comfort distributed systems on CANoe, CAPL- based virtual simulation
environment and providing test reports.
3. Responsible for debugging software and analysis of defects in integrated software.
4. Responsible for preparing Test Specifications, Function Coverage to ensure that developed software is bug-free and as
per System Requirements.
5. Responsible for Requirement Analysis, effort estimations and work breakdown.
Basic Qualification:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical & Electronics.
- 3-5 years of experience in automotive Verification & Validation.
- Good to have experience in Autosar based software development (C; C++ or Model Based Development)
- Must have a good experience in scripting and automation in at least one of the areas - CAPL scripting, python scripting.
- Experience in Automated Testing using tools like Canoe, Canalyzer, TPT, Vector vTestStudio, ProveTec is a prerequisite.
- Good Experience in automotive communication protocols like LIN, CAN, Ethernet
- Good exposure to configuration management tools like PVCS, SVN and requirement management tool, DOORS is
preferred.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in the CANoe-simulation of new communication Mechanisms e.g. SOME/IP, Security, “Communication-
Objects“
Preferred Qualification:
- Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
- Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge on German language preferred.
