Role Overview
We’re looking for enthusiastic and energetic young tech professionals who are passionate about solving technical challenges, building innovative solutions, and taking ownership. Join the development team for MB.Charge (previously meCharge), one of our flagship products delivering a seamless charging experience for EV customers across the globe.
This is a hands-on development role where you will work on real-time, scalable cloud-based systems, using modern tech stacks, contributing directly to the user experience and reliability of Mercedes-Benz EV infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Java (Java 8+) and SpringBoot
• Work in an Agile team to deliver features in iterative cycles
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing
• Contribute to the evolution of microservices architecture with best practices
• Ensure system reliability through effective fault tolerance and container orchestration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for backend, frontend, and DevOps integration
• Maintain high standards for code security and performance
• Own the deployment pipeline using CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code
Required Technical Skills
Must-Have:
• Java/J2EE (Java 8 and above)
• SpringBoot, Gin, Mockito, JUnit
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
• Public Cloud: Azure or AWS
• Microservices architecture with Service Discovery and fault tolerance mechanisms
• Kubernetes, Docker
• Messaging/Caching: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis
• Terraform, Helm
• API design using OpenAPI 3.x
• API security: OAuth 1.0/2.0
• Build tools and servers: Maven, Jenkins, Apache Tomcat/JBoss
• Cloud deployment and hosting experience (Kubernetes)
Good to Have:
• Application monitoring: AppDynamics, Datadog
• Scripting: Groovy, Shell
• Frontend basics: JavaScript, ReactJS, Next.js, CSS
• ELK stack
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
